Yesterday, Glenn shared his story about the hostile environment he and his family experienced while attending movie night in Bryant Park Monday evening. He was hesitant to take his family out in public, but his daughter told him "No, it won't be like that, Dad,". This is why young college students voted heavily for Obama - There is the youthful feeling of immortality coupled with the lack of experience that her father has suffered through. The only thing positive to come out of this liberal attack on a Conservative, is that I hope his daughter learned from her experience in Bryant Park, if not, then her time on this earth is a waste.
While trying to catch a showing of Hitchcock's The 39 Steps, fellow moviegoers were anything but friendly, shouting hateful messages, kicking a glass of wine on Glenn's wife's back, and even lying as you will see later in this post that kicking Mr. Beck in the mouth was because they were horsing around with acrobatics. Did any other innocent bystanders get kicked in the mouth? Daughter, learn from your experience.
Today, we hear from the other side. Lindsey Piscitell, a young woman who says she was sitting behind Glenn and his family, has written a vitriolic response letter to New York Magazine about the incident. Glenn chose to read her response on radio this morning.
"Just a quick FYI -saw your article on Mr. Beck and his numerous FALSE claims about the way that he was treated at Bryant Park last night," Piscitell wrote. "Myself and several of my friends were seated immediately behind Mr. Beck & co (have pictures) and I can tell you that while the crowd was certainly not *thrilled* that he had shown up, his family was left completely alone, and for the most part he was too."
Piscitell criticizes Glenn's security detail for being "unnecessarily prickly with the crowd," and asserts that though her friend did spill half a glass of wine on Glenn's wife, it was a "complete and utter accident."
That's rather ironic because later that evening Piscitell tweeted an obscenely explicit message saying that she was seated near Glenn, to which one of her followers, Marissa Barker, responded, "Ew, can you 'accidently' spill something on him? Or 'accidently' kick him in the mouth?" (See the evidence here)
Well doesn't that sound loving and rather timely? The actual truth seems to be rearing its ugly head?
"It's amazing how she would be swearing, that's the tolerant part she was talking about," Stu said. "And then the odds that one of her 40 followers would suggest exactly what would happen. I mean, it's a billion to one that that would occur. But it did. And we found out about it."
Piscitell's letter ends with her expressing her frustrations that Glenn offered his love and forgiveness on yesterday's radio program. She wrote, "I'm sure it's unnecessary to point out the hypocrisy in Glen's statements that we were being hateful. I can assure him that we don't need his sympathy.
Well, lets see if her "private" tweets match her more public communication to New York Magazine? Or she is just a typical liberal hater who cannot speak a word of truth?
Scott Baker of The Blaze, posted this interesting investigation of Ms. Piscitell's true motivation, and exposing her public lies to the New York Magazine:
On Tuesday, Glenn Beck told his radio and TV audiences how he and his family were harassed during an outing to an outdoor movie in New York City's Bryant Park.
You can listen to Glenn describe what happened here.
The account involves people shouting nasty things and even a cup of wine being kicked onto Glenn's wife.
"These people were some of the most hateful people I have ever seen," Beck said. "All I wanted to do is go out on a blanket with my family and have dinner in the afternoon sun and sit around Americans, not like-minded Americans, and just watch a movie in the park. And last night that was what it was about when the movie was just about over, my wife and I got out because it was hostile."
Well, now a woman has come forward to say that she was seated right behind Glenn and that his account is "FALSE."
True?
The woman, Lindsey Piscitell, wrote to New York Magazine:
To Whom It May Concern:
Just a quick FYI -saw your article on Mr. Beck and his numerous FALSE claims about the way that he was treated at Bryant Park last night. Myself and several of my friends were seated immediately behind Mr. Beck & co (have pictures) and I can tell you that while the crowd was certainly not *thrilled* that he had shown up, his family was left completely alone, and for the most part he was too. Conversely, it was his security detail (two body guards) that seemed to be unnecessarily prickly with the crowd, scolding myself and my friends for acrobatics and other harmless activities taking place well before the movie started, and contributing to a considerably less relaxed atmosphere than is typically experienced during BPMN (I've been going for about six years now).
It was my friend that spilled the glass of wine on Tanya -and I can assure you that it was a complete accident. A happy one, to be sure, but nonetheless a complete and utter accident. As soon as the wine spilled (and I question how Tanya became soaked from a half glass of wine) apologies were made and my friends pretty much scrambled to give Tanya & co napkins -no doubt aware that it would look terrible and that their actions could be perceived as purposeful. No words were exchanged after that, as I think that it became pretty clear to Beck & co that my friends and I were doing everything in our capacity to help clean the "mess".
I'm sure it's unnecessary to point out the hypocrisy in Glen's statements that we were being hateful. I can assure him that we don't need his sympathy. Incidentally, none of us have made a career of "spewing hate" on the radio, or any other media platform. We live our lives intolerant only of those who don't tolerate: We have chosen New York as our city for that very reason. We do things like go to Bryant Park Movie Night, and vote to legalize gay marriage. We don't taunt Glen, or his family. And we certainly don't waste our wine, even on Tanya.
Thanks, and please let me know if you have further questions.
Lindsey Piscitell
So that changes everything. Glenn will be issuing an apology this aft….oh, wait.
We decided to learn a little more about Lindsey Piscitell.
Turns out she is something of a "Nomad" who likes to write short stories and poetry in between panic attacks:
She also has a Twitter account…though that account is "protected" for confirmed followers only.
However, when GlennBeck.com's Wilson Garrett simply Googled her name he did notice this:
Lindsey Piscitell
(dANGLINGbABY) on Twitter: Fucking asshole @glenbeck is sitting next to me at Bryant park movie night getthe fuckoutofmycity (pic).
Now that seems more than we were led to believe!
The link in that Tweet to FourSquare had the pictures of Glenn and his family on their blanket. It was active until a few hours ago. But….it's now not there. More liberal lies?
We also noticed that one of her Twitter followers was eager to respond to her notification about proximity to Glenn with some timely suggestions:
How about that?! Lindsey's pal Marissa suggests an accidental spill!
I did want to see if Marissa had other suggestions, but guess what:
SORRY, THAT PAGE DOESN'T EXIST. The libs seem to be dropping of the Internet like flies, after the attack at Bryant Park?
Yeah, her Twitter account is now gone. Lindsey, we note, tells the world on Tumblr that she is:
Just another twentysomething throwing ideas out and hoping someone will catch them.
What can we conclude? Is it possible that the wine spill really was accidental? Oh, maybe. But Twitter tells us a few things that may call her account and her motives into question. We certainly would like to know more - but they keep deleting things!
Stay tuned for updates.
Update:
It seems that Lyndsey Piscitell was also busy posting comments on some blog posts about the Beck encounter. At least we know that it is someone using the same name as she uses on Twitter (dANGLINGbABY), and claiming to be in the group involved in the encounter.
dANGLINGbABY
We truly accidentally spilled a bottle of wine on wifey #4. We were very civilized, apologized for the incident, and gave them some napkins. But we were of course VERY happy that it happened.
Of course the "truly accidentally" part might be suspect now that we know about the friends Twitter suggestion.
AND was it a bottle? I thought she said it a glass?
Glenn also pointed out on the radio this morning that the suggestion about "accidentally" kicking him in the mouth might have played a role in the "acrobatics" going on near them.
Lyndsey's e-mail to New York Magazine depicts innocuous interaction…"his family was left completely alone, and for the most part he was too"…while pointing any blame on Beck's security detail. I've watched Glenn's security team in dozens of tricky situations and they are a polite and professional group. Certainly Lyndsey wouldn't have done anything deliberate to draw their attention, right?
dANGLINGbABY
TWO security guards. One of them yelled at me when I held up a sign that said "Fascist Douchebag", pointed to him and took a picture. Some people are so touchy.
Seems a little less innocuous now, doesn't it?
Another commenter on one blog post asks this question of the group:
AnneV6
I am confused as to why we, the East Coast Liberal Elite, have allowed Glenn Beck to inhabit our city for this long. Why has he not been chased onto the Staten Island Ferry by a screaming mob with torches and pitchforks? We are all failures.
Turns out dANGLINGbABY had a ready answer:
dANGLINGbABY
We tried as best we could tonight. See: gratuitous picture taken followed by immediate email to Gawker. Alas, for someone like GBecks it seems that existence itself is reliant wholly upon ignoring EVERY SINGLE THING that the outside world tells you.
Why has Glenn not been "chased" away? "We tried as best we could tonight." And then she references the picture taking, and the concept that "outside world" is trying to send a message to Glenn. We think we get the message about what happened that night.
UPDATE:
A Sara Romanoski recently blocked her Twitter account (saromo) but a Blaze reader managed to take some screen grabs before that happened. Early in the evening she did solicit ideas for to what to do in the situation:
Saromo Sara Romanoski
Sitting behind glenn beck. Like RIGHT behind. Suggestions for what I should do? You've got three hours to get them in.
She too makes reference to "accidentally" spilling wine on:
saromo Sara Romanoski
Spilled wine on gb's blanket really by accident. Fingers crossed he references that drunk liberal twit at Bryant park on TV - makemefamous?
She did get her wish on the TV mention. And she did at the time seem to want to ride the wave of attention:
saromo Sara Romanoski
@thedailyshow accidently spilled wine on glenn beck's old glory blanket in Bryant park. Think he'll makemefamous?
Jon Stewart? Hellooooo?
The Daily Caller's Jim Treacher quotes "saromo" saying this:
jtLOL "Jim" Treacher
@saromo to Glenn Beck: "You who decided to show up in my city, apparently expecting to have a good time…"
Since lots of Twitter accounts have been closed or locked in the last 24 hours, I haven't been able to confirm the rest of her original message…but I think the message, again, is clear. VICIOUS PUBLIC ATTACK ON A FAMOUS CONSERVATIVE AND HIS FAMILY!
No one stood up for Mr. Beck and his wife and daughter that evening, What a typical bunch of New York cowards! No one there had any honor except for the Beck family.
