I graduated from Dothan High School (don’t ask me what year)!

A doctor had his TV on in his office when the news of the military base shootings at Ft. Hood, TX came on.  The husband of one of his employees was stationed there.

He called her into his office and as he told her what had happened, she got a text message from her husband saying, "I am okay."  Her cell phone rang right after she read the message.  It was an ER nurse,” I’m the one who just sent you a text, not your husband.

I thought it would be comforting but I was mistaken in doing so.  I am sorry to tell you this, but your husband has been shot 4 times and he is in surgery."

The soldier's wife left Southern Clinic in Dothan, AL and drove all night to Ft. Hood.  When she arrived, she found out her husband was out of surgery and would be OK.   She rushed to his room and found that he already had two  visitors there to comfort him.

He was just waking up and found his wife and the visitors by his side. The nurse took this picture:

What?  No news crews and cameras?  This is how people with class respond and pay respect to those in uniform.

 

I sent my cousin in Fayetteville , N.C. (Retired from Special Forces) that picture of Geo. W. visiting the wounded at Ft. Hood . I got this reply:

What is even better is the fact George W. Bush heard about Fort Hood, got in his car without any escort, apparently they did not have time to react, and drove to Fort Hood.  He was stopped at the gate and the guard could not believe who he had just stopped.  Bush only asks for directions to the hospital then drove on.  The gate guard called that "The President is on Fort Hood and driving to the hospital."

The base went bananas looking for Obama.  When they found it was Bush, they immediately offered escort.  Bush simply told them it was OK and to let him visit the wounded and the dependents of the dead. 

What?  No news crews and cameras?  This is how people with class respond and pay respect to those in uniform.
He stayed at Fort Hood for over six hours, and was finally asked to leave by a message from the White House.

Obama flew in days later and held a "photo opportunity" session in a gym, and did not even go to the hospital. 

All this I picked up from two soldiers here who happened to be at Fort Hood when it happened. 

This Bush/Obama/Ft.Hood story is something that should be sent to every voter in the US .  Those who wanted "change",  you certainly got what you voted for.

Someone, anyone, PLEASE, show me anything that will indicate that Obama has ANY respect for the country he leads!  Don’t show me anything Obama has SAID, but show me SOME ACTION that wasn’t a photo op!

I'm looking in the face of our current president for some little hint of honor, or of respect, or of heart-felt honesty, or of patriotic pride, OR ANYTHING OTHER THAN THAT CHANGE HE PROMISED THAT MOST OF US ARE FINDING “HARD TO BELIEVE IN”?

America has had millions of past and current military HEROS - we also are currently suffering under our military ZEROS

Obama is a Victim of Bush's Failed Promises

Here's an opinion piece by Chuck Green who writes "Greener Pastures"
for the Denver Post Aurora Sentinel, one of the more liberal papers in the country.  Additionally, Mr. Green is a lifelong Democrat, so this is rather a unexpected, stunning piece!

Barack Obama is setting a record-setting number of records during his first year in office:

Largest budget ever.

Largest deficit ever.

Largest number of broken promises ever.

Most self-serving speeches ever.

Largest number of agenda-setting failures ever.

Fastest dive in popularity ever.

Wow. Talk about change.

Just one year ago, fresh from his inauguration celebrations, President Obama was flying high.  After one of the nation’s most inspiring political campaigns, the election of America’s first black president had captured the hopes and dreams of millions.  To his devout followers, it was inconceivable that a year later his administration would be gripped in self-imposed crisis.

Of course, they don’t see it as self imposed.  It’s all George Bush’s fault.  George Bush, who doesn’t have a vote in Congress and who no longer occupies the White House, is to blame for it all.

He broke Obama’s promise to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them.

He broke Obama’s promise to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN.

He broke Obama’s promise to end all earmarks.

He broke Obama’s promise to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.

He broke Obama’s promise to close the detention center at Guantanamo in the first year.

He broke Obama’s promise to make peace with direct, no pre-condition talks with America’s most hate-filled enemies during his first year in office, ushering in a new era of global cooperation.

He broke Obama’s promise to end the hiring of former lobbyists into high White House jobs.

He broke Obama’s promise to end “no-compete” contracts with the government.

He broke Obama’s promise to disclose the names of all attendees at closed White House meetings.

He broke Obama’s promise for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters.

He broke Obama’s promise to have chosen a home church to attend Sunday services with his family by Easter of last year.

Yes, it’s all George Bush’s fault.  President Obama is nothing more than a victim of the never-ending, failed Bush administration.

If only George Bush wasn’t still in charge, all of President Obama’s problems would be solved.  His promises would have been kept, the economy would be back on track, Iran would have stopped its work on developing a nuclear bomb and would be negotiating a peace treaty with Israel, North Korea would have ended its tyrannical regime, and integrity would have been restored to the federal government.

Oh, and did I mention what it would be like if the Democrats, under the leadership of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, didn’t have the heavy yoke of George Bush around their necks.  There would be no earmarks, no closed-door drafting of bills, no increase in deficit spending, no special-interest influence (unions), no vote buying (Nebraska, Louisiana).

 If only George Bush wasn’t still in charge, we’d have real change by now.  All the broken promises, all the failed legislation and delay (health care reform, immigration reform) is not President Obama’s fault or the fault of the Democrat-controlled Congress.  It’s all George Bush’s fault.

Take for example the decision of Eric Holder, the president’s attorney general, to hold terrorists’ trials in New York City.  Or his decision to try the Christmas Day underpants bomber as a civilian.

Two disastrous decisions.

Certainly those were bad judgments based on poor advice from George Bush.

Need more proof?

You might recall that when Scott Brown won January, 2010 election to the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts, capturing “the Ted Kennedy seat,”  President Obama said that Brown’s victory was the result of the same voter anger that propelled Obama into office in 2008.  People were still angry about George Bush and the policies of the past 10 years, and they wanted change.

Yes, according to the president, the voter rebellion in Massachusetts was George Bush’s fault.

Therefore, in retaliation, they elected a Republican to the Ted Kennedy seat, ending a half-century of domination by Democrats.

It is all George Bush’s fault.

Will the failed administration of George Bush ever end, and the time for “hope and change” ever arrive?

From the beginning of the 2008 election campaign, and even from his short term in the US Senate prior to the campaign, Obama gave us fair warning of his liberal, progressive, socialist, religious, and Marxist leanings.  Obviously not enough voters were actually listening in order to defeat him – Why?

Yes, Obama told us in advance what he planned to do.  Few were listening - the small number of his key associates knew exactly what his plans were, and they should be criminally complicit in the Obama agenda, and most of his other voters chose him on faith without having any idea of what his specific plans were.  Most Conservatives didn’t vote for him because of the words coming from his mouth prior to the election.  There were MANY Conservative voices of warning.  During the 2008 election campaign the DEMs attacked the warnings as bizarre and unreasonable – how is that “change” working for you now?

“The following is a narrative taken almost three years ago on Meet The Press televised on Sunday, September 7, 2008 11:48am EST.  The then Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.

General Bill Ginn USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain WHY he doesn’t follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

The General stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171:

          “During rendition of the National Anthem when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart.  Or at the very least, “Stand and Face It”

“NOW GET THIS !!

Senator Obama replied:  “As I have said about the flag pin, I don’t want to be perceived as taking sides.  There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression.  The anthem itself conveys a war-like message.  You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing.”

ARE YOU READY FOR THIS ??”

“Obama continued: “The National Anthem should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose.  I like the song “I’d Like To Teach the World To Sing”.  If that were our anthem, then I might salute it.  In my opinion, we should consider re-inventing our National Anthem as well as redesign our flag to better offer our enemies hope and love.  It’s my intention if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle Eastern Brethren.

If we, as a nation of warring people, conduct ourselves like the Nation of Islam, where peace prevails – perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments.  If I become President, I will seek a pact or agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts.  We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations of Islam, an unfair injustice which is WHY my wife disrespects the flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past.

Of course now, I found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put my hatred aside.  I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path.  My wife and I look forward to becoming our country’s First black Family.  Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America.”

HE TELLS PUBLICALLY OF HIS WIFE AND HIS HATRED OF THE UNITED STATES, HIS LACK OF PATRIOTISM FOR THE UNITED STATES, AND HIS SUPPORT FOR ISLAM OVER THE UNITED STATES!

The same, above excuse for an Obama vote is invalidated for the November 2012 election.  There can be no excuse that you didn’t know what his plans are – now we know – almost half of voters have known since the beginning in 2008, and even slightly more than half  (the Obama voters) should surely know NOW.  We only need an additional 8% to 10% of the vote in order to defeat him with confidence in 2012.

Some of his voters next November will vote for Obama for racist reasons, some of his voters will vote for him out of ignorance of the facts, and some of his voters will vote for him because they desire to see America fail & fall.  The only potential voters that we conservatives can impact, is the second group – those “ignorant of the facts”.  Both the first and third groups, mostly “haters” will not give up their votes for Obama for ANY reason.  So I encourage every patriot to not waste your time on the two inflexible groups and put your efforts and contributions into the one group where we can have success – the second group.  We must get the facts to everyone, but especially to groups that could be productive, like women, young college age voters, and independent voters.  If anyone has ideas to effectively reach those groups, please leave your comments.
