When George Bush invaded Iraq, anti-war zealots hit the streets raising forty-leven kinds of hell:  “Bush lied; people died,” rang across the land.  Bush acted on intelligence gathered and agreed to by the U.N., Great Britain, and virtually all U.S. allies.  Bush obtained approval from Congress to take whatever action he deemed necessary.  He tried, in vain, to get U.N. approval.  He set a time and date.  He invaded.  And, the Progressive anti-war zealots went crazy.

When Barack Obama invaded Libya, the anti-war zealots were non- existent.  Obama had NO intelligence suggesting that Libya was a threat to the U.S.  He did NOT bother to even ASK FOR APPROVAL from Congress as is required by the War Powers Act.  He told no one;  he just unleashed millions of dollars of bombs and missiles on a tiny country that could not possibly do us harm.  The anti-war Progressives looked the other way, and said nothing.

Obama said he was acting in response to the U.N., that the action would be a matter of days, not weeks.  That was six months ago, and the U.S. is still involved.  Obama lied; people died, and the Progressive anti-war zealots said nothing.

Where is CINDY SHEEHAN? Why is she not camping out in front of Obama’s Chicago home, as she camped out in front of Bush’s Texas home?

Could it be that Progressives are hypocrites?

In March, 2006, both Senators Barack Obama and Harry Reid condemned George Bush’s request to raise the debt ceiling, claiming that the request was a “failure of leadership.”  Both voted against raising the debt ceiling.  But in 2011, both condemned the Republicans for objecting to raising the debt ceiling, claiming that failure to raise the ceiling was “irresponsible.”

Classic hypocrisy!

Nancy Pelosi promised that the health care bill would be posted on the internet for 72 hours before the vote. Then PELOSI SAID “We have to pass the bill before you can find out what’s in it…”

Obama promised that no lobbyists would be allowed in his administration, but then proceeded to ALLOW LOBBYISTS TO FILL HIS ADMINISTRATION

Gross hypocrisy!

Obama said that President Bush and the Republicans “drove the economy into the ditch”.  He failed to mention the economic disaster caused by the terrorist attacks on 9/11, or the two wars, or Hurricane Katrina – all of which were unexpected and took a heavy toll on the treasury.  After nearly three years under Obama’s control and stewardship, the economy is in much worse shape than ever, and he is quick to blame Bush, an earthquake in Japan, high gas prices, and instability in the Middle East.

Sickening - just sickening, hypocrisy.

Here is a POST ON FACTCHECK.ORG http://www.factcheck.org/2011/04/factchecking-obamas-budget-speech/  that provides a few indicators of just how Obama’s economic policies have worsened the economy.  Note that the price of gasoline increased from $1.838 on January 10, 2009, to $3.111 on January 20, 2011.  The price has continued to rise, reaching $4.00 per gallon in some parts of the country.  Despite this dramatic price increase, and the instability in the Middle East, Obama and his Progressive administration refuse to allow development of domestic oil, and continue to promote a carbon tax.  Obama’s EPA is even trying to implement stricter emission-control regulations by rule, to further restrict the availability of gasoline.

Obama and his media machine TALK ENDLESSLY ABOUT CREATING JOBS, but in reality, he refuses to unleash more than 750,000 new jobs that would be created by opening domestic oil reserves.  Instead, he has INCREASED FEDERAL EMPLOYMENT by more than 230,000 jobs, guaranteeing those votes for himself, while the public sector lost 7.5 million jobs.  Moreover, he has doubled the number of federal jobs that pay in excess of $150.000 per year, while income in the public sector has decreased since he took office.

Progressives are hypocrites.  Their only concern is to prevail, regardless of what it takes.  The end always justifies any means that may be required.  The Progressive Obama administration has clearly demonstrated its belief in this principle.  It has lied, deceived, distorted, manipulated, pointed fingers, and still, the economy worsens, America’s standing in the world continues to fall, and all the Obama administration is concerned about is getting re-elected in 2012.

What kind of unmitigated gall is required to declare that his three-day campaign tour through the Midwest is not a campaign tour, but a perfectly legal tax-funded tour to meet and talk to the people?  And when that’s complete, he will bypass the tax-paid vacation retreat at Camp David, and go instead to a mansion on Cape Cod where he can commiserate with all the people who can’t find a job, and who can’t make next month’s mortgage payment.

Progressives are hypocrites who must be removed from the federal government.

Possibly the Last Opportunity to Turn Lemons Into Lemonade

My opinion is that the Republicans lost the battle for the budget because of Boehner's lack of leadership.  The only real chance we had for REAL progress, was the Cut, Cap, and Balance Act, and we stopped pushing for it after it passed the house, and Senator Reid refused to allow a vote on it in the Senate.  All other budget proposals and plans, with the singular exception of Representative Paul Ryan's plan, were "feel good" plans with no guaranteed controls to insure that they would do ANYTHING, except for the IMMEDIATE raise of the debt ceiling, and stopping the crisis discussions until after the 2012 elections, which was the only real bargaining power the Republicans had, in order to negotiate guarantees for Republican inclusions in the budget.  The so called "triggers" are simply "koolaid" for the Republicans who bought into the fake "fear factor" that they have caved in to, so many times before, from the Obama Democrats.  Triggers are simple "proposals" in a bill which guarantee NOTHING!  America would have been much better off if we had held tightly to our advantage, stood behind the Cut, Cap & Balance Act, and if the Democrats refused a voto, let the Democrats cause the budget default, and take the credit for it.  This would have been the Republican guarantee to win the November 2012 elections.  This is what Obama was fearing most and why he refused any plan which did not implement stop crisis talk until PAST the 2012 election date.  But the Republicans caved in.


So now we find ourselves in a horrible situation, having agreed to a budget which fails America while promoting Obama's re-election chances.  Once this bill passes, both the budget and the November election will be out of our control, and no guarantees from either.


ENTER DICK MORRIS WITH A PLAN THAT JUST MIGHT TURN LEMONS INTO LEMONADE


"If the Republicans, led by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, opt for a deal with the Democrats to aim for big spending cuts, in two phases, but to raise the debt limit so it is out of the way until after the 2012 elections, how do we make Obama agree to cuts?

The current discussions focus on triggers which would automatically impose cuts in programs near and dear to both party's hearts -- Medicare for the Democrats and Defense for the Republicans -- if the spending cuts are not realized.  But these triggers mean next to nothing.  What a Congress passes, another Congress can repeal.  One can easily see Congress not coming to agreement on the second wave of cuts and then passing a resolution to suspend the trigger-mandated cuts.

The blunt fact is that once the debt limit is raised until after the election, Obama can get out of town and not worry anymore.  He won't make any cuts.  We'll get the cuts we are implementing right now -- about a trillion OVER TEN YEARS -- and no more.

But there is a trigger which can work -- the budget itself.

If the Continuing Resolution passed in the spring was battle one (which Obama won) and the debt limit was battle two (which the GOP has won), the budget for 2011-12 is battle three.

The Republicans should refuse to pass a budget but just pass a new Continuing Resolution funding the government through January 1, 2012.  If the recommendations of the spending cut commission are not passed or some other cuts have not replaced them, the House should refuse to extend the Continuing Resolution and should trigger a government shutdown.

The looming threat of a shutdown will terrify Obama and will force his hand just as the debt limit has done.

We have gotten half a loaf in this current battle over the debt.  Let's not disarm until we win the rest of it.  What we haven't gotten in the debt deal, we can get in the budget deal.

That's the trigger which will work."


Thats the ONLY trigger with any teeth!  Dick Morris returns the power back to the Republicans, ensuring the return to budget crisis discussions for almost a whole year before the 2012 elections, and offers us what might be our last opportunity to stop this madness.  Now the question is, will Boehner just see this as another OPPORTUNITY to cave in to Obama/Democrats, or will he demonstrate the cajones necessary to turn this lemon into lemonade?  At some point we MUST say NO, and Boehner seems to prefer avoiding the fight now, and putting it off for someone else to handle.  Maybe he is thinking of retirement soon, or could it be just another mistake from him and he is NOT thinking of retiring soon?  No Boehner - No brainer.  Implement this plan with him if he has the cajones, or do it without him if he does NOT.

Mr. Obama - YOU Will Be Responsible

NO Mr. OBAMA, IT WILL NOT BE REPUBLICANS AT FAULT IF SOCIAL SECURITY CHECKS ARE STOPPED WHEN WE PREVENT A DEBT CEILING RAISE WITHOUT ACCOMPANYING CUTS IN THE DEFICIT.

It is clear to most voters that ALL essential services including Social Security, Medicare, and continued re-payment of existing federal debt, can be paid with current federal tax income alone.  YOUR mistake will be if YOU decide that any essential services should be cut.  Even though you have failed miserably in returning ANY transparency to MY government as you promised when you were a candidate, it will be painfully transparent to most taxpayers exactly who is responsible if YOU decide to cut any ESSENTIAL service, when current tax income would pay ALL essential services.

President Bush cannot be blamed for YOUR mistakes.  It will be completely transparent to the American people who would be responsible for the choice to cut Social Security, or ANY other essential service.  YOUR scare tactics will not work this time, without consequences!

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HIDE THAT MISJUDGEMENT FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE – IT WILL BE COMPLETELY TRANSPARENT

A look back at the November, 2010 US House elections, or your falling support, and legislative falling support,  in any current poll, should be serving notice to you and all Democrats, that we the people are awakening and we are watching and we are placing the blame for the critical situation we now find ourselves, squarely where it belongs – ON YOU AND THE DEMOCRATS!

Yes we are aware that the Cut, Cap, and Balance bill, the only bill that has passed the US House, is compliant with the Moody criterion,  and can beat the deadline to prevent the lowering of the American credit rating.  And yes we will notice that the Democrat controlled Senate with your encouragement, refused to pass the only bill which meets ALL requirements.

Remember why there has been no budget since FY-2009, even though the Democrats controlled both houses since 2006 and you have controlled the presidency since 2008.  Looks like your feeling of "running out of time" is because your Democrats and you have been running away from responsibility for quite some time?

To understand the tremendous significance of the Obama/Democrat's negligence last year (FY-2010),  you have to know that it was the FIRST TIME in the history of the US federal government, when the party in power failed to pass a federal budget!  And Democrats were in TOTAL control of all three branches of government at the time!

Also notice that as soon as the NEW Republican House landslide took the House back,  in November 2010, they immediately went to work on the budget for this year (FY-2011), that Democrats had refused to bother with last year, which were the most basic part of their duties.  The new republican House sent their budget to the Democrat-controlled Senate.  And Harry Reid sat on it and did NOTHING.

The Democrat controlled Senate as of today, July 23, 2011, STILL have no budget vote nor budget proposal whatsoever!

I never knew you had so little Patriotism in your heart for America – Now I know.

I never knew you would vote against raising the debt ceiling in President Bush’s term of office, and several years later, you would demand a raise of the debt ceiling 3.5 times higher that any past president has ever asked for, in your term of office – Now I know.

I never knew so many of your associates would be on my “avoid” list – Now I know.

I never knew you could have so much resentment towards me & my family – Now I know.

I never knew that a sitting POTUS might direct the Justice Department to join with a foreign nation to sue a sovereign Anerican state, to prevent that state from executing existing federal immigration law – Now I know.

I never knew in a recession you would allow $1+ billion in foreign aid to be used to renovate Mosques overseas – Now I know.

I never knew that a POTUS might present an obvious birth certificate forgery three years after his opponent in the election had presented an official birth certificate before the election  – Now I know.

I never knew your wife has always been ashamed of America, except for twice in her life, one of which times was your inauguration – Now I know.

I never knew in a recession, that you and your wife would need huge, over paid staffs, and czars free from legislative oversight – Now I know.

I never knew you felt shame of your mother’s race, as revealed in your book – Now I know.

I never knew you and your wife both gave up your law licenses rather than answer questions from the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Committee about statements you both had made on your applications – Now I know.

I never knew that I would feel compelled to put all of my time into the political arena to try to help stop a political agenda, that if not stopped will result in the destruction of my country along with the loss of my individual rights and the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, for generations to come – Now I know.

Time To Make Obama Cry

"In 2006, every Democrat Senator (including Senator Barack Obama) voted against raising the debt ceiling. Among the reasons Obama listed for voting against it was that doing so would be “a sign that the U.S. government can’t pay its own bills” and “a sign that we [were dependent] on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies.”

Of course, that was under George W. Bush. But now that Obama is president, and the debt ceiling of $14.3 trillion is about to end the spending spree Democrats have been on since January 2009, Obama has reversed course [AGAIN]. Now, he not only favors raising the debt ceiling but also talks as if our nation’s very continuance depends upon doing so.

The truth, of course, is that Obama’s legacy and re-election are on the line and he knows it.

Thus everything we’re hearing from him about raising the debt ceiling is nothing more than the cry of a president who has spent his country into oblivion and is looking for a way to avoid the blame for doing so.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (who also voted against raising the debt limit in 2006) is doing his best to lie to the public to save Obama from the consequences of reckless spending by pressuring Republicans into supporting the idea of raising the debt limit. To do this, he is giving them a fictional narrative of what life will be like if we decide to live within our means instead of continuing to spend money as fast as we can print it:

“Default won’t just roil the financial markets, pushing interest rates higher, and tank the stock markets; it will affect every American’s wallet as well. Here are a few things that will happen. Social Security checks and veterans’ benefits and paychecks to our troops would stop.”

Folks, think about it: This is a grand slam for Republicans. They can win by simply saying “no.”

And this is why all eyes are on House Speaker John Boehner.  If he can rally the Republicans in Congress to oppose raising the debt ceiling he will literally end any chance Obama has of being re-elected. That’s how big the stakes are in the current debt ceiling talks.

By the way, Obama knows this is true. And that’s why he’s pressuring Speaker Boehner and the rest of the Republicans to come his way.  (It’s also why he’s making outlandish claims about how “80%” of the American people want to pay higher taxes.)

Pay attention: Obama’s entire economic team has left. “A bunch of czars have left,” and Defense Secretary Gates left. Although it’s normal for a few members of an administration to move on and pursue moneymaking opportunities in the private sector, Rush Limbaugh accurately described the defections from the Obama administration as “a greater exodus than is common.”

In other words, Obama’s people have decided to jump ship rather than to go down with it.

Look folks, we literally have Obama right where we want him. Not only is he beatable, he has actually already beat himself by spending this country into the ground. Now is no time to do him a favor by raising the debt ceiling and letting him off the hook.

Speaker Boehner has the power to sink Obama’s ship, and he needs to go ahead and sink it right now by voting “no” on raising the debt limit."

Wait a minute, hold on a second, did Barack Hussein Obama, POTUS and “poker player supreme” just tell the GOP leadership and everyone else in the United States that he is just BLUFFING when he issues another empty threat to GOP leaders that he will veto any Republican attempt to pass a “short term” debt limit increase?

In the game of politics, when your opponent declares publically that he is BLUFFING, isn’t the wise option to call his bluff and immediately raise him?

Watch what happens to his approval if he actually stops Social Security payments instead of reducing the deficit!

Watch what happens if he stops paychecks for our military HEROS instead of stopping the checks of his huge personal staff, and the 10,000 recent, new IRS employees!

Watch what happens if he cuts Medicare payments instead of cutting duplicate federal agencies!

Watch what happens if he proposes another stimulus package instead of reducing spending to lower the runaway deficit!

Watch what happens to his 2011 re-election campaign!

This mistake could create “Change that we CAN believe in”, and we the people would be the winners, because it’s a Win - Win situation for the United States, whether he came to his senses and supported the GOP push for fiscal responsibility, or decided to follow his veto, along with his Socialist ideology straight down into the toilet.  Either way, the PEOPLE win!

Malignant Narcissist Obama?

Today I believe we have reached a point with this administration which could become the point of CRITICAL MASS.  Today started what I think could possibly become the FINAL step in Obama's agenda to gain a complete DICTATORSHIP over the United States of America.

He is accomplishing this by implementing gradual steps to completely eliminate any responsibility of the Presidency, to the American Constitution, and I believe this could become the last step in that goal.

This final step looks like a building Obama attempt to allow the President of the United States (POTUS), to ignore the constitutional necessity of congressional APPROVAL for raising the debt ceiling, and allow him to unilaterally raise the ceiling by "Executive Order".  If this turns into the final step, then from this point on, the POTUS is a dictator without any of the intended Constitutional checks & balances instituted to prevent his becoming a dictator.

When this happens, the only options to the American people are tax revolt (cut off the economic head of the beast), and revolution.

This possibly final step today was spoken against, by Texas Senator John Cronyn:   Sen. Cornyn warned President Obama on Sunday to not even consider interpreting the Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment to bypass Congress and raise the debt limit without it's approval.  "That's crazy talk.  Its not acceptable for Congress and the President to not do their job, and to say somehow the President has the authority then to basically do this by himself."  Cornyn (REP-Texas), a former judge on the Texas Supreme Court, told "Fox News Sunday".

The proposal that Obama re-interpret Section 4 of the Fourteenth Amendment to justify raising the RECORD $14.3 trillion debt limit has been gaining traction in Democratic circles since possibly outgoing Treasury Secretary, & income tax violator, Tim Geithner told reporters last May that in his opinion the Constitution's language could support the President's raising the national debt limit without congressional approval.

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., and others on Capitol Hill reportedly acknowledged that the idea is percolating, and had been presented to the president.  "It's certainly worth exploring. I think it needs a little more exploration and study," he said during a conference call with reporters held Friday.

Without addressing efforts to invoke the Constitution, Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., said Sunday the president and congressional negotiators shouldn't even be discussing a debt deal privately.  "Congress is the constitutional place for this to be decided," said Sessions, who is the ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee. 

Asked during a press conference Wednesday whether the debt limit was constitutional, the president glossed over the question, saying, "I'm not a Supreme Court justice, so I'm not going to put my constitutional law professor hat on here."

If the Obama plan works, and we allow him the right "not to be questioned" and to unilaterally raise the debt ceiling of the United Stated of America without confirming vote by the US Congress, we will then be operating as a dictatorship for the first time since the birth of out country!  Is this the change we can believe in?

Obama's plan best works slowly.  The same way the lobster doesn't struggle in the pot so long as the temperature goes up slowly.  As you see from above Geithner brought up the "no questions" concept in relation to raising the nation's debt ceiling, three months ago.

Other occasions where Obama started chipping away at the REQUIREMENT of Congressional approval are:

The forged birth certificate, even though McCain was REQUIRED to provide his birth certificate.

Placing American troops under the command of UN authorities, and into combat in Libya without Congressional approval, nor threat to the United States from Libya.  CANDIDATE Obama made several statements about his opinion AGAINST PRESIDENT BUSH in  an interview with the Boston Globe:

Q:  In what circumstances would the President have Constitutional authority to bomb Iran without seeking a use-of-force authorization from Congress?

A:  The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.  In instances of self-defense, the President would be within his Constitutional authority to act before advising Congress or seeking it's consent.  History has shown us time and time again, however, that military action is most successful when it is authorized and supported by the legislative branch.  It is always preferable to have the informed consent of Congress prior to any military action.As for the specific question about bombing suspected nuclear sites, I recently intro taken by the United States against Iran must be explicitly authorized by Congress.duced S.J.Res.23, which states in part that "any offensive military action taken by the United States against Iran must be explicitly authorized by Congress.

Q:  Can the President disregard a congressional statute limiting the deployment of troops - either by capping the number of troops, or by setting minimum home-stays between deployments?

A:  No, the President does not have that power.  To date, several Congresses have imposed limitations on the number of US troops deployed in a given situation.  As President, I will not assert a constitutional authority to deploy troops in a manner contrary to an expressed limit imposed Congress and adopted into law.

I am sure there are other examples of Obama's using small steps to ignore REQUIRED Congressional approval for POTUS actions.  If you are aware of any, please leave a comment.

If he gets away with this illegal debt ceiling takeover without congressional approval, I fear it might become the final nail in the coffin of transfer of the US into a dictatorship.  Once we allow that to happen, Obama could become dictator for an indefinite term (no longer needing congressional approval for any law he wants to institute).

WHAT CAN WE DO?

We can recognize that the Administration is encouraging blatantly unconstitutional, if not criminal, actions. Two hundred and thirty years of law is being subverted by a Marxist socialist named Barack Obama.

“We the people” can take action by vowing not to buy vehicles from Fiat/Chrysler and to avoid doing business with those concerns which profited from the "bail-out" travesty of justice. Ditto with General Motors … or Government Motors as it is now called.

We can also continue legislating restrictions on unions and their ability to influence elections and the selection of politicians. This has gone way beyond monopolistic practices, it is now bordering on subverting the Constitution of the United States.

We can start considering a grass roots movement to demand that Barack Obama produce documents proving that he is eligible to be the President of the United States.

We can continue to promote and contribute to grass roots movements to pressure elected officials to investigate Barack Obama and draft articles of impeachment citing massive self-dealing, bypassing REQUIRED Congressional approval, and other corruption involving trillions of dollars.

We can let our Senators know that we will not accept activist judges and that there will be consequences for their actions when they come up for reelection.

And we need to let our elected officials on all levels know that we are serious about not reelecting any incumbents.
